Overview

The nanotechnology laboratory (ultrasonic research) is equipped to provide spiritual support to the research studies of Islamic Azad University students of the science and research department and to implement extracurricular projects. In this laboratory, specialized ultrasonic research and tests are carried out by the latest ultrasonic devices with different frequencies.
Among the wide applications of ultrasonic waves in various fields, we can mention improving the quality of food by creating and controlling the cavitation effect, producing particles on a nano scale, determining the speed of particles, non-destructive testing, etc. This laboratory can be used and researched in various specialized and interdisciplinary sciences from manufacturing and production to quality control in a specialized and reference manner. The use of ultrasonic oscillations is one of the methods used in various sciences today, and its combination with other modern and traditional processes can have an important effect on the optimization of these processes.

General information of the laboratory

Nanotechnology Laboratory by three faculty members from Islamic Azad University, including Dr. Sara Alahyaribek from the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, Dr. Hamed Ahari from the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Industry, and Dr. Seyed Amir Ali Anvar from the Faculty of Veterinary Specialized Sciences, along with The cooperation of Dr. Sima Moradi (graduated in veterinary medicine) and engineer Mehdi Rahimian (researcher in the field of food industry) has been formed. This laboratory is managed under the supervision and cooperation of the faculties of natural resources and environment, agricultural sciences and food industries, and the faculty of specialized veterinary sciences.

The establishment of the laboratory started as an initial idea and after becoming a patent registered in the United States (US Patent), it led to the establishment of a Nano technology laboratory (ultrasonic research) and the production of products based on advanced knowledge. This laboratory has various equipment, including various ultrasonic devices, turbidimeter, colorimeter, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, spray dryer, rotary, and biological bioreactor.

One of the prominent products of this laboratory is the Iranian saffron nanoemulsion, which received a nanoscale certificate from the Presidential Nano Headquarters and a license from the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of the country, 2 US Patent, PCT, and European Union WIPO (IFIA) standards. ) Confirmed. This product has been approved by the Scientific and Industrial Research Organization of Iran and has won honors such as diplomas of honor and gold medals from international festivals. Also, the laboratory is investigating the production of rosehip nanoemulsion and other medicinal and useful plants in the food industry.

After obtaining HACCP, GLP, ISO9001 and European Union WIPO (IFIA) standards, Nano Technology Laboratory (Ultrasonic Research) operates as a member of the network of strategic laboratories.
